Mentre la mancanza di corrente elettrica continua, in città la polizia affronta il saccheggio, i fuochi ed i tumulti che si presentano. Sully e Ty salvano un uomo ferito e la donna che è con lui. L’uomo risulta essere George Hancock, un poliziotto capo e Nancy è il nome della donna.
Il giornale pubblica in prima pagina una foto di Ty che porta via Hancock dai tumulti e lo acclama come eroe, ma lui non ne è entusiasta. Contro il parere di Ty, Sully dichiara che Hancock era sul luogo dei tumulti per servizio e la sua presenza è stata di fondamentale importanza. Dopo che Nancy ha avuto un collasso in ospedale, è stata portata urgentemente in chirurgia, negando la valutazione del Dott. Field che sostiene che è stata violentata.
Bosco vaga per la città alla ricerca di Faith ed infine la trova proprio nel momento in cui Faith esce dall’edificio con Fred sulle spalle dopo averlo fatto uscire dall’ascensore. Lo trasportano in ospedale, Faith nervosa, addolorata e stremata se la prende prima con Proctor e poi con Bosco. Le sue parole lo fanno riflettere e Bosco decide di distruggere le prove contro Latrell e lo scarcera.
Sully dice a Tatiana che le crede quando dice che non è la Natasha Guerin immischiata nel giro di prostituzione e che è stato tutto un grande errore. Successivamente, Tatiana si addormenta e Sully prende il bicchiere della vodka in cui lei ha bevuto, lo mette in un sacchetto di prova e lo nasconde. Doc e Carlos hanno ancora delle discussioni e questa volta Doc riflette sulle parole di Carlos

Piangendo e disperandosi per Tatiana, prova ad entrare con la forza dove l’infermiera non lo lascia entrare. La donna chiama la polizia. Dopo l’arrivo di Hancock sul posto, Sully gli blatera qualcosa su Nancy davanti agli altri agenti, che lo portano a casa.

Ty quindi riesce a tornare al suo lavoro e a far revocare la sospensione a Sully.

Sully is sober and back on the job; Faith continues to keep a close watch on Emily; a mutual attraction springs up between Kim and a reporter; Faith and Bosco pursue a man after he steals a bag of money from an overturned armored car involved in a fatal accident; Faith is unable to dissuade Bosco from wanting to hide the cash after the robber drops it, rather than carrying such a heavy load during a foot chase, and is proved right when they return later to retrieve the bag and find that it's been stolen yet again; faced with disciplinary action and investigations by the Major Case Squad and IAB, they pound the pavement trying to find the second perp and discover that the accident with the armored car had been staged by one of the guards and his girlfriend; Maritza ends up stealing the first perp's collar from Faith, which further erodes their relationship; Bosco is jealous when the Major Case Squad detective running the investigation turns out to be Maritza's former boyfriend; as Doc and Kim rush Nicole West to Mercy after a suicide attempt, she tells Kim that her stepfather Anthony has been molesting her; when Nicole's mother refuses to believe that her husband has done anything wrong, Kim implores Melinda to see that her daughter is crying out for help with repeated suicide attempts; after Nicole convinces Melinda that Anthony is guilty and reveals that her accusations against Carlos were false, Melinda apologizes and withdraws her complaint against Carlos and the city; still at odds over trust and honesty issues, Faith and Bosco trade painfully honest barbs and decide to split up; Carlos is elated when Ty tells him he's being reinstated.
